Dusty Spurgin has been around quite a while, fished a Redman Tournament with him many years ago and doesn't surprise me to see him bring in a bag like that.

I was just glad to see that big of sack come out of Cypress. The lake has been suffering since the carp were released.

It's definitely been getting better or maybe its just Spring and that's the easiest time to catch the biggest fish in the lake. I caught a 7.18 2 Friday's ago and lost one at least that big yesterday. the one I caught was typical pre-spawn main lake point and the one yesterday was in 1' of water in some flood shore line stuff.

And I am NOT down playing that 30# bag in any way. That's incredible on just about any lake much less Cypress "Spot" Springs.

My wife and I are the ones that had the sack on Cypress this weekend. It was a very special day, not only because of the bag we had, but also because I was able to share an awesome day on the water with her. I’ve been very fortunate to have some awesome team partners throughout the years and winning some pretty big tournaments, but this one was as special as any AOY’s or championships I’ve been a part of. Tammy and I want to thank y’all for the kind words and accolades. Thanks again...Dusty and Tammy
