Adding a little color to the back yard before the rain hits out here. Put in a red bud yesterday. Putting in 2 Chinese fringe flowers today. I use a post hole auger to start holes to plant my tree. Takes most of the work of the digging.

Holes need to be twice the size of the tree bulb. Helps the roots growth. Also hold moisture better, At least till they are in the ground and survive two summers.

Holes need to be twice the size of the tree bulb. Helps the roots growth. Also hold moisture better, At least till they are in the ground and survive two summers. Also. Don't fall in to the mulch trap and make sure the root flare is exposed.
