โ€˜93 Mercury 150 XR6. Alarm going off. Normal beep when ignition is turned on. Plenty of oil in both reservoirs. Water pressure gauge and temperature gauge all normal readings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does alarm stay on constant or intermittent? My oil tanks were both full so I bypassed the low level sensor to the under cowling oil tank. This resolved the issue....bad level float inside oil tank.

Alarm is constant but doesnโ€™t start going off until engine has been run for awhile.

constant beep is over heat.. how old is water pump?.. water pump "kit" would be my first thing to do.. even if ya do all three, pump, stats, and poppet its a good thing and not expensive.... compared ta what could be.
