So I have a Garmin 74sv at my console that I run a lake map card in. I'm planning to mount a 73sv on the bow for bass fishing. I'd be putting the transducer on the TM

Question is, do yall run a side scan unit with the transducer on the TM? I just feel like the side scan would be useless turning the trolling motor all the time. If so I'll just get one with down scan and sonar. Console unit already has side scan.

Thanks

I have a Garmin Striker 9sv on the bow with the side scan ducer on the TM. You are correct, side imagining was useless while standing still or moving slow, but it came in handy when searching for brush piles in front of boat houses and docks at higher speeds without cranking the big motor.

I ran Side Scan on the Trolling Motor on a previous Boat but was pretty useless when needing to turn it. My new Boat has only the rear unit.
