For everyone out there beating the banks like myself, keep your eyes peeled. The LMB mating season is upon us & active beds are popping up. Caught 6 today in less than 90 minutes, all sitting on beds. Best 5 went 4.7, 4.4, 3.9, 3.5 & 3.1 - almost a 20 pound sack. Gotta love sight fishing in the spring!

Found several beds this evening in process of being fanned out. Caught 15 males today, many of them on a sight cast basis! They were in 12-18 inches of fairly clear water. About 18-24 INCHES FROM SHORE. Sad part was none of them were bigger than a pound.😞. Gliding a 16th oz pearl white/blue metal flake curly tail grub just below surface. Would see them zoom at torpedo speed and broadside SLAM the grub! Made up for lack is size with fight in them, including aeronautics and tail walking!

That’s what I saw yesterday in 12” of water up the Lampasas River. They weren’t scared of me or my shadow but we’re aggressive otherwise.

These fish were all caught in the Cottonwood Creek system that runs through Las Colinas, including golf course retention ponds & Northlake College. Lots of available water to fish throughout Irving & NW Dallas County.

Caught four more off beds yesterday: 3 females (5.2, 4.9 & 4.6 lbs) & 1 male (1.7)
