I've fished 46 of the last 96 hours on 4 different lakes so far this week. Most int he Naco area. Kurth was the warmest I found at 61 on Tuesday. I saw a few small males on beds, but it seemed like most had not yet moved up. For me it was generally tough fishing with mostly 2-3's and having to work for those. I did catch a 7.42 on Monday which helped save the trip!

I fished Big Creek in Delta County yesterday. 57 degrees down by the dam and 65 everywhere else. Caught a spawner down by the dam but after reflecting a little bit yesterday afternoon I think I should have gone after the post spawn bite instead........

We fished 69 degree water late yesterday afternoon, and not even a male was in the most perfect bedding bushes.....notta! I'd almost bet my life that they will show up today. The females are pushing the males around now to hurry up and get widdit, just like in real life. bolt
