As most of you know, a squarebill crankbait can load the boat certain times of the year. In this video I explain exactly my mindset on picking squarebills, colors to use, and what size I choose for certain seasons. Let me know what you think!

With that, what’s your favorite squarebill? (Brand, Size, Color)

The real OG. Just to think that really kicked off a major craze.

I still fish the Deter Stanford square bills. Cost 15 to 20 dollars, but the action you get is WELL WORTH IT. Dives 3 to 5 feet and catches fish like nothing else. Thanks for asking. These are wooden hand carved baits, that is why the price is so high. Been throwing them since 2000, so if it aint broke, don't fix it. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Forgot to mention, these lures are made of CEDAR!

actually not the OG, I would consider a bang-0 lure to be one though.

Thad, I couldn’t agree more. I started out with the RC, switched to the KVD’S when the others became impossible to find.

Senko, I agree with that. But the RC started a craze. The other didn’t.

Mike, I’ve heard some good things about that one. I know you’ve won some money on it!

I’ve caught some of my biggest fish on it... I need to go visit pilot point and get some more.

I like the Xcite bait but usually fish it silent. When the shad are running, I like this in sexy shad as the profile is similar. If the shad are bigger I fish the KVD which has a larger profile. But I often find the Xcite bait will get bites when the KVD doesn't.
