I made my first outing of the season to Lynn Creek Marina on Joe Pool Lake. I can report that the sunfish are still in relatively deep water (14 feet). One group reported catches in 12-14 feet of water..I did not get any bites along the rip rap where I expect them later in the season.

I did catch 8 crappie, 5 of which were over 10 inches. They came home with me to be the guests of honor in a nice fish fry tomorrow.

Sadly, the facility shows the lack of management since the owner and long time manager both retired last year. The young people who appear to be in charge are not doing routine maintenance or ordering stock in a timely manner. They were out of minnows this morning.
