Posted a week or two ago asking about getting around Conroe safely.. Gonna hit it on Thursday morning.
Was just wondering how the lake is fishing, and any input that might get us a better chance for a bite.. Haven't fished this lake in years. Putting in at the 830 ramp. Looks like good conditions

I am not the know all guy for Conroe but my experience there is that the lake is either fishing great or it is fishing like [censored] on any given day. To me it is a [censored] shoot everyday.

As tough as that lake fishes for me, as warm as it has turned around here, and that moon that is just now waning- I'd just go try to find a big bed fish to make it worth my while.

Fished all day Saturday, from our experience I think it is just going to get better in the next week or two. My son caught a couple of nice fish (4 1/2 & 5 1/2) up shallow but we caught mostly males. I think the big females are just starting to move up and from talking to a couple guys that live on the lake they said the same thing. Water temp was around 58 most everywhere we fished south of 1097.
Iām headed out to Conroe in the morning to fishing all day.

Cool, thanks guys. We were planning to just bust the banks up in creeks shallow, maybe fish the dam.

I'll be heading up there tomorrow morning as well after i call in sick to work. Had a little luck last week around Stowaway, few with no real size to them.

Awesome man! Well I we might see ya out there.. Running a grey 22ft Majek Extreme with a 225 Pro XS. We're going to be trying up near stowaway as well if I can find my way up there without grounding out

Nice, that lake makes me work too dang hard for decent fish. Decent chance of a DD fish out there right now...only reason I go this time of year. One bite.

How did you guys that fished yesterday do on Conroe? Kida slow for me, caught 6 or 7, biggest one was 4, one around 3, rest were smaller. Lots of crappie fishermen out in one area I was fishing. One pontoon boat was loaded with guys with lines out everywhere, they were having a grate time. Headed back out tomorrow.
