I was on Lavon Saturday. Water temps were in the mid 50's on average. I fished a lot of spots that I caught fish on last spring – ranging from 2' to 18' and did not get a bite. Last year I didn't have much luck until almost April and it was a tough season because the water level rose pretty steadily from mid April to the end of May. Hopefully this year the level will remain more constant.

BTW, the ramp at Little Ridge is closed, so if you launch on that side of the lake you'll need to go to Mallard Park or Lavonia.

When in doubt, set the hook
