High on the list of truly informative YouTube channels I've found and now spend too much time watching... the two top being Tacticalbassin' and Fish The Moment... I now add "The Nature of Fishing." These vids are by Paul Roberts, a fishery biologist who's also a bass angler. So his vids are more like college lectures than on-water lessons from a guide like Matt Allen. They delve in detail about many topics on an analytical and data driven basis in a pretty nerdy style but that I find kind of entertaining in a "college geek" kind of way. He's got two 40 min. vids that trace the life of a bass from its parents spawning, to being eggs, guppies, fingerlings, yearling, etc. to ultimate adulthood. Incredible underwater videos of all stages, including how the male physically entices the female to lay the eggs. Never thought I'd get to see two bass getting it on like teenagers in a small bed! Lots of regular how-to-why fishing vids also, again with very erudite explanations. It's good stuff. Because he's a kinda geeky guy, you might want to have a dictionary page loaded up. For example, he refers to deeper water warming slower than shallow water due to its "voluminous nature." I love that stuff... https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCata79WFUPYPDG33LrC57Wg

Very good videos; hopefully they can maintain their quality instead of slowly morphing into 20minute infomercials.

Should that be in the videos page?
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

I'll check him out. I agree on the other two, Tactical is good stuff and the Fish the Moment kid does a good job. Youtube has become my go to for fishing videos, I get tired of the constant pimping of product.

I found fish the moment a few weeks ago. I really like the way he does his videos and the information he shares. The way he pronounces some words gets to me. That’s on me, not on him. I like the kid.

For the kind of content I am looking for there is no better channel than Tacticalbassin. They give you a good dose of seasonal pattern knowledge, fish catching, underwater footage, and best of all they show me lots of tackle! Im a tackle junkie and love to see in depth videos of the baits they are using, when they use them, and how they use them.

I love the Nature of Fishing. The most in depth, fact-based data I’ve ever found. I’m a huge fan of TacticalBassin, with my only complaint being that they are so certain of everything. Examples: “If you you do this you are GUARANTEED to have UNBELIEVABLE STRIKES.” “When you make this SLIGHT change, your catch ratio WILL GO THROUGH THE ROOF.” “This SMALL DIFFERENCE will CHANGE YOUR DAY EVERY TIME.”
My opinion is that those guys absolutely have a great understanding of bass fishing and are good at clearly stating their information in a very easy to understand way, but they also are very good at selling their information in a manner that gives you confidence that what they say will work every time. Just an opinion.

Nice Herb! We need to get out and catch a few in the next week or so. They're up shallow and getting after it! I'm headed to LBJ whatever day the rain holds off next week.

Right now I'm at a steel guitar convention in Dallas... yeah, I know... stupid! but I'll be back next week and let me know when you're going up to LBJ and I'll meet you.

Excellent channel. Really enjoying his focus on northern natural lakes for a change vs the constant reservoir focus of most fishing info. Thanks for posting!
