I would second that. My second best bass/PB for public water came out of the trinity. Try it for bass. It might surprise you!

Love the Trinity for numbers. It's like a box of chocolate.  As I've said many times over the years... when I researched the Fort Worth Trinity a long time...ago.. I had the honor of talking to several old timers who told me stories and showed me photos of large....blue catfish, alligator gar caught right where panther island/old radio shack building is/was. Just amazing.

Behind the Lake Worth dam, below Samson Marion Park there is a big hole of water where the river starts that years ago we used to catch mega giant gars and carp. We could access that area by going on the road that passes Burgers Lake and swing past the dam. Don't know if that's still available now,..?? I think you can still work your way down to that area from the Park. I lost a chaise lounge type folding lawn chair there once,...went to pee in the bushes, and came back in time to see the chair going under water. I had stuck my rod down in the chair, and something pretty big took the whole thing right out in the water...

It's a long steep hike down there but it sure looks fishy

Not a good place to park and leave a vehicle at LookOut Point,,,,I fished there 40 years ago, and came in from the base side....

Try the last drop off on Beach Blvd, it's been a while.
You can park next to the rowing club area.

How do yall feel about eating those fish though lol only reason I wont fish the trinity I like to eat my catch, especially with the gar I feel bad cause of how you gotta make them swallow it to get hooked
