Anyone else fishing it next weekend? It’s a great time, the only tournament I fish anymore. This will be my eighth year.

I will be there. I fished it last year, but didn't really see how to get involved since you can't park at the ramp.

Do you win any money or is it all donations?

Yes you win money and they also give away a fully rigged Skeeter in a random draw of the participants.

Winners also drive off with a new skeeter. My partner lives on the lake. I’ve never fished it that I didn’t come home with more than I left with. It’s a great charity event with a lot of draw prizes. If you work in any oilfield related industry or retired from one you can fish.

You don’t win a lot of money. More bout bragging rights. We enjoy fishing them also.

I had a chance to fish that years ago expense free when a guys partner didn’t make it. He said it’s all paid we will spilt everything and all you have to do is show up. Guys name was Lance Folks. He sold us valve services. I had called a Staff meeting so said I can’t make it.
Monday I look at World of Fishing and there is a picture of Lance sitting in the draw boat he won.
It now take me almost nothing to cancel a staff meeting.

I don't work in the oil industry. Bummer can't fish it. Sounds good though
