Buttermilk is for cooking, not drinking. O if I need to vomit. Works well for that.

I don't have enough appendages to count all the good things that come out of cows.
Love it, always have. I go through a couple gallons of regular whole milk every week. Hot days, especially, I drink buttermilk, seems to do more for the thirst than the plain milk. Couple glasses a day = about a gallon a week. DW and I do a lot of cooking with it too. Bread, pancakes and my better-than-anyone-else-in-the-world waffles.
Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

I'd rank it right down there with cottage cheese. My grandma used to break up a big chunk of cornbread in a glass and pour buttermilk over it. my dad did the same thing with buttermilk and cornbread My dad also, He called it “clabber”. Yep!

The low fat stuff is awful. The only real version I have found is Borden's Country Store Bulgarian Buttermilk. It's just tangier. First swallow, right out of the carton is outstanding. Great with Cheetos--not mixed together, a bite of Cheetos chased with cold buttermilk.
Also can be used to make great cornbread.

I used to drink/eat it with white bread with my granddad in a frozen mug each night I stayed with him. I loved it then and I love it now. It’s one of best foods out there in my opinion.
Luke 6:22-23
22 Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you, insult you, and slander your name as evil because of the Son of Man.
23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy. Take note—your reward is great in heaven, for this is the way their ancestors used to treat the prophets.

Works pretty good to marinate wild game. Neutralizes a lot of the muskiness.

Love me some Buttermilk with salt & pepper stirred in. I buy the quart at Brookshires and drink it right out of the bottle since the ol lady cant stand it. Not much salt but lots of black pepper.

Accidentally chugged a carton once thinking it was egg nog when I was a little kid. That was a rude awakening.

Love it, find it refreshing on a hot day. Got it from my mother. Her favorite evening meal was cheese, crackers and onion with a glass of buttermilk. Assisted living center kept it for her. She live to 102.
