Super Bowl of fishing Expos

College World Series of Fishing.

Yes, someone is going to win. Against the best field?...Ha, don’t embarrass yourself in public by honestly stating that. There are some in the field that are on the level, but most are not. FACT

I believe so, more and more names will soon become household names and years down the road you won't even remember 2020 as being different.

Redcrest win - a ride around in the back of a vehicle talking about your tournament.

Classic Win - interviews, sponsor opportunities, life changing.

BASS pros are definitely winning.

I think it all depends on the 'buzz' you see. Obviously there are more topics about MLF and BASS drama on this forum than anything else. I know as I follow the sport where each of the anglers fished last year and how they go to the Classic. There are a few classic threads out there though.

It may not be as big as perceived it was but that is to be expected when the vast majority of pros left last year and the last classic with most of them was held last spring. It is to be expected that this year would be different. The ripple effect of MLF is still there. I believe the next classic will feel different than this year with more anglers being known. If you have followed all 3 tours, you know who most of these guys are.

To say you don't know who they are, doesn't mean that aren't sticks and can beat the best of MLF at any given time, it's fishing, catching is not guaranteed.

I'm watching the live stream, there are 10 cameras on, only 6 last year. The coverage Saturday and Sunday will be great.

I haven’t been following bass fishing for the last few years as closely as I used to but I just went through the list of classic competitors on bassmaster and yep, I was surprised at how few of the names I recognized.

I think Combs, Cox or Hanselman wins.

Haven’t paid much attention to bass since mlf started. They must be paying Zona a mint not to go anywhere, with all his ties to bps and other mlf guys I think inevitably he leaves bass.

The count on the turnstiles going into the expo determines the events onsite success, nothing else to the sponsors. The overall internet hits will determine their value on web ads.
TV viewership on ESPN and the magazine are becoming less relevant

End of the weekend one of the anglers will be crowned champion . And he will always be known as a Bass Master Classic champion . And he can deposit the 300,000.00 dollars Monday .

The anglers that left are nobody to me anymore regardless of what they have won.

BASS pros are definitely winning.

The last 17 Classic Champions are all fishing MLF. This isn't a zero sum game. Everyone is winning, including the fans.

Although, it will be intriguing to see how some of the MLF pros react to not being able to fish the Classic this year. Regardless of the field, it is still THE event in bass fishing.

+1 Anybody that says these new guys arent up to par haven't watched this past year. These guys have the fire that the olds had lost. It's been a weird start to the year for BASS but this is still the classic and it's still the biggest tournament in fishing
