So I have a scenario for everyone. So my buddy and I like to catch our fish during the week, tie them up somewhere only we can find them, and then weigh them in on tournament day. We only go out during the off limits period because for some reason the lake is always less crowded. So we were snagging bass off beds the other day and we tag one about 6 and as we are tying him up to a stump, my buddy drops the stringer. I go in head first after It and lose contact with the boat for only a few seconds. Am I cheating because I didn’t maintain contact with the boat? Also if you have any recommendations for lead weights that slide down a bass’s throat easily I’m all ears. Thanks in advance fellas!

Depending on the payout, tungsten could be a better investment.

I would have to search the trail's rules to see if there is a grey area we might be able to claim for your situation. I am sure we can get there though and explain it to your TD so he sees how you didn't actually violate any rules.

As long as you don't have a chainsaw in the boat.

I think you're good because the boat contact rule only pertains to tournament hours, not for pre-fishing. The only real question is whether your jersey and straight bill will be dry by tournament day. bolt

I’m good on the jersey because I bought multiple ones from tackle warehouse. I did however lose my white oakleys in the debacle.

You must be wearing the tournament approved Speedo in order to leave the boat and lose cotact with any portion of your body.
