It has happened again since then so I don't think any rule has been changed. Because it wasn't Tiger it didn't get mentioned like when he did it.

It all depends if there is an actual rule against it or not for that tournamnt or circuit. The FLW Tour now has a rule against it. Bassmaster Opens do not. From my experience, anglers want to cry foul if someone puts in a lot more effort to win than they do for just simply showing up. Read a quote one time that sort of fits:

Everyone wants to be a lion until it comes down to doing lion stuff.

if it opens the water to every other boat then I don't see a problem then everyone can access the same waters

Works great in a deer stand and doesn't make any noise to scare away the game. welcome

Great point Clark! cheers

Some guys will go in skinny water and push pole their way back in there to fish.

Others won't fish it if the big motor won't take them there! rock

I've muddied up areas for the same reason. It's all a game plan. No different than finding some deep fish and sitting on it all day in practice to keep people from finding it

I guess another question would be is if it Corp property. If I am not mistaken, on a Corp lake, you can't cut nothing. I may be wrong and I am sure I will be corrected. I just know my buddy had to get special approval to cut 2 trees down in his cove on Lake Fork. His neighbor cut 2 down the year before and paid a $500 fine for each tree even though one was half broken and leaning.

Lake Fork isn't Corps property. Your buddy may have been in a HOA, or Sabine River Authority got on to him.

Yup not Corp cause if it was there would be thousands of violations on Rayburn haha. There is an entire forest cut and sunk from around Rayburn every year...

With all the standing dead timber around Rayburn from the recent flooding, a chainsaw in the boat might not be such a bad idea. You never know when one's going to fall! Haven't seen one yet, but I heard one fall last fall, and I sure wouldn't have wanted to be under it.

Would not be something I would feel comfortable with personally.

Read a lot of rules and never seen one saying you could not.

Now I think the instance you speak of was a case where the contestants had cut that tree down before the event to block that creek and came back tourney day and cut their way in.
That would be cheating in my opinion.
