Still an old favorite.
Who remembers what the "On / Off" knob on the side does?

The lever on the other side allows you to pull line off the reel without pushing the casting button, I believe this round knob makes a clicking sound as the line comes out. This is an added feature for Cat Fishing. May have that backwards??

Still using my Zebco 33 and I've got a total of 4.
Keep them clean and fresh line and they are bomb proof.

Just one more cast!

They'd take a lot of abuse. When they got to where they weren't casting good, just give them a quick dunk in the water and you were back in action.

The reel that made all of y'all retrieve with your right hand. Not me. Ha, ha! I had a Mitchell 300 with left hand retrieve!

Go me!

Way back when, would go to Wal-Mart and buy two Zebco 202's. go below the dam on Hugo lake in Oklahoma and catch carp until the gears in the reels were dust.

I remember every night before a fishing trip up until I was about 10, my dad and I would re-spool all our reels! I had the job of holding tension on a spool with a pencil through it. I had 2 or 3 different zebco 33's but the oldest one was my favorite for whatever reason, loose squeaky handle and all!

Thats my money fish

Man does this bring back memories...

I had a love / hate relationship with our Zebco 33's...love that they would cast good and fight just about fish with ease...hate that it would tangle even with the best of line management. AHAHAHAHAH

My dad was a VIrgil Ward fan so we used Johnson Century reels. 33's were the jeeps of the fishing world.
