This is a difficult question to answer. The first criteria is how much do you want to invest? Entry level is hundreds of dollars for some, and thousands of dollars for others. The next issue is the type of camera. I would only consider a camera where you can change the lens. The next decision is whether you want to go with the mirrorless technology. The mirrorless cameras are more expensive, but they are the future. So, if you are looking for a non-mirrorless camera, the Canon Rebel T7i is a good one to look at. If you are looking for the mirrorless, the Canon R series, or the Fuji XT100 is a good choice. If money is an issue, then you can drop down to an older model and still get a good camera.
