I've always been told to get TRAILER RATED tires. However, I have seen numerous trailers out there with auto tires on them. My Hustler trailer came with automotive tires from the factory.
Goodyear Marathon tires were the choice in years past, but I have heard bad things about them recently.
Best advice I can give is not to skimp on them. Get a good tire and save yourself some agony.

Carlisle Radial Trail HD is a great tire. Ditto. Just replace a set that had about 20k miles and still plenty of tread. Only reason I replaced them is because they were 6 years old by the date stamp. Got them through Discount Tire and had them price match Walmart who has them on sale for $61.

Goodyear Endurance for sure...I'm replacing my factory tires soon. I just don't trust them like the GY.

I am running 14 inch commercial truck tires on all my trailers now. I got weary of poor service running ST trailer tires. These commercial tires are rated for 99 mph and must pass more stringent testing than ST trailer tires. These are Maxxum brand tires. With these commercial tires, they wear out instead of blowing out.

I had Carlisle on my boat for about 3.5 years and wore well. I put the U.S. made Goodyear's on that Discount Tires recommended and they have been good also. The cheaper version of the Marathons that were outsourced to China were a piece of junk.

I bought a set of 4 Carlisle Radial Trail HD 205/ 75/ r14 from Goodyear $309.00 out the door Alexandria La., old ones were almost 4 years old but i don't pull my boat 95mph
