Ok, let's get this thread going this year again. I went out before the all the rain hit and was seeing temps any where from 55-60 so still pretty cold. The lake is still around 1-2 ft low but hopefully with the spring rains we will get more water flowing. I marked quite a bit of fish in the river but they are def still out in the main lake.

I went a few weeks ago, ran up Hog, and the Middle Bos, waters were dirty, lots of trash. No bites on live or jigs.
If I fished for money.........I'd be broke.

It's on. Not hot and heavy yet, but steady and limits are doable in a few hours. Good numbers of big females, too.

It is going to be extremely interesting to see what happens with this rain. I hope that it doesn't mess things ups to bad for the run.

Waco got hammered this morning. Probably just set the fishing back a good while again.

Middle bosque is on right now. Watched several limits get taken today. The rain dirtied up the water but did not slow the fish down at all.

Anyone know if N. Bosque is passable at bridges? Is there tons of debris in the water?

White perch are typically the smallest in length, averaging about 10 inches, white bass average about 13-plus inches, hybrids average about 20 inches, and stripers can exceed 30 inches. Hybrid striped bass generally refers to a cross between striped bass and white bass. Fisherman's Cove Lodge http://fishermanscovelodge.com/1860 state highway 309, Kerens, TX (903) 641-5905

Went to the middle Bosque today and saw a lot of people catching small amounts of fish. Everyone I talked to said that it was definitely slow but people were catching some fish. The water past the old bridge columns was clear and you could see a large amount of fish but they weren’t biting. Back towards the main lake the water color went from clear to green to a stained brownish green. Water temps were around 73 and the water current was still pretty swift from the rains. We were catching using light tackle and fly rods. Most of the fish we caught were in 4-8 ft of water and were caught on white double rooster rigs, little George’s or swimming white grubs!

Went way up the north today. Caught lots of whites but they were on the smaller side, two crappie and one hybrid. The whites were all males

We went out this morning for a couple hours from 9:30 to 11:30. Caught and released 73 whites and small hybrids. Caught and released one legal hybrid but had a couple strip the drag out and break our 12 lb test line. All fish were caught using slabs with a jig tied above the slab in 15-20 FOW on main lake structure. The fish were really hugging the bottom, had to look real close at the graph to see them.

Had an absolute blast today and yesterday in the North Bosque. If you want to get the kids or anyone else hooked on fishing take them when the whites are running! I wish that black bass fought as hard sometimes as these little white do!! We caught easily 50 plus good size keepers but also a ton of small and sand bass with the whites!!!! Pretty much anything that was white they were biting!! Tight lines everyone
