Several years ago there was a little boy on here quite often catching big ones at Lake Fork. I was excited to see him grow up, and what he would accomplish. I haven't seen anything from or about him in a while now. Is he still fishing?

I think his last name is South. I met him and his dad about 5 years ago.

Yes he is. Fine young man as is the entire South family. Pake's a deer killing, fish catching machine. His little brother is, too! Pake was on the cover of TFF last spring with a 12+.

That boy is eat up with anything outdoors! It’s been since Billy Dyson’s funeral that I saw I his dad and asked about the boys.

Be something if he ended up going to SFA, you could be handing him checks in a few years!

Talked to Pake and Brian for a while last year at Billy Dyson’s funeral. Like Fouz said. He’s still catching and killing like always.

Thank y’all for the updates.

Somebody that is not decrepit is getting Pake around some big fish, and he is sticking 'em. I have a senior down at College Station, we fished THSBA for four years, and very rewarding that he still wants to go fish up here or fishing Aggie Angler sponsored tournaments down there. Sure felt weird when our last tourney was over his senior year in HS. Great bonding deal at a key juncture in their life, so keep 'em rollin' and savor the moments Brian.

"Likes" is a poor choice of a word, as far as his passion for it goes, but I agree with you nevertheless.....those are some cool photos....I'm fairly certain that Brian is a pretty humble dude...but does deserve to feel proud of his boys....Pake won't be the only other donkey hunter of the family....
