Transducer causing rooster tail

My transducer is causing a rooster tail behind my boat when running on plane. Is that normal or is it to low.
It's for a hummingbird helix with si/di if that matters.

Yes it is normal if you have the transducer installed correctly to give you on-plane depth/2D sonar. 1/2 the thickness of the transducer below the hull bottom as shown in the instructions. You can try it slightly higher or make a splash guard for it.
Which transducer is it for what model?

They make transducer mounts with a curved bottom to help with that. I installed one for my totalscan and it really helped
