He has said several times today he is trying to be a quiet and "stealthy". I just noticed he has a Fortrex TM on his boat. I am sure he normally runs one of the new style trolling motors.

I often think about if I should swap mine back to my Fortrex when I am primarily fishing shallow.

Anyone swap out TM to "old style" in the spring and if so can you say it's a positive move?

I think I can take a paddle, slap the water every thirty seconds and it will still be quieter than my Fortrex………..

I noticed that also. I wondered if his Ultrex quit on him, and he had to break out his backup. I’d like to see him win

An ultrex is quiet if you move real slow and stealthy lol

He took his jersey off because it's the loudest dang one on tour

I am surprised these guys aren't using push poles as shallow as they are and trying to be quiet

Heck most of them have their TM's all the way up and one even has a block of wood under his to raise up more! woot

To say hey are quiet would be a mistake with the prop cavitation going on! roflmao

And you are the same guy that thinks a boat change will change the ability to fish

when you are bed fishing,if the fish sees you, they will be much harder to catch....a lot of guys prefer to wear a blue shirt and cap(blends in with sky in background),use push poles plus get down on hands and knees....the lower your profile is above the water, the harder it is for a fish to see you....

The steering drive is noisy on the Ultrex. The Ultrex motor turning the propeller is same/similar sound level as a Fortrex

Man you guys over think things way to much. All trolling motors have a spinning prop which accounts for most the noise. And for the clothes wouldn’t a huge freaking boat be more of a problem then what color shirt you are wearing.

Wear camo cloths so the bass won’t see your 20’ bass boat looming overhead. laugh
