Fished all day with Chris (doctorxring) yesterday. Great day ! Water temp has dropped to low 60s & still around 3 ft. low. Winds from the northwest forced us to fish protected timber most of the day. Started out in the intake area an got 1 small bass. Moved to east lake timber and the bite was on. We ended the day with 39 bass & 1 bluegill. Most bass were in the 2-3 lb. range, but got 2 around 6 lbs. (weighing scale battery dead) All fish caught on Culprit worms & best bite was in he 8-12 ft. range. Tried for bluegill for about an hour with no luck. As a bonus, mother nature put on quite a show at sunset. As Bankers says...it don't get any better here in south central Texas ! [Linked Image]

This was one of the very best "bassin' days" I've ever had. Just a great day on the water of fishing and comaraderie. Close to perfect weather and the fish
were cooperating. It was so much fun to see Steve haul in those 6 pounders !! grin

Here's a pic of Steve doing his thing right at sunset on that big sky we had. So beautiful.

Thanks for replies:

Laker...Still an issue with the side imaging...only one side works. Talked to the folks at Hummingbird today & found out I am 2 software updates behind on my unit...will upgrade software and see if that fixes the problem. If not they have other solutions to try.

Gitter...The trolling motor works GREAT ! Spot Lock is the best thing since sliced bread & a real game changer. The trolling motor does have GPS, but I will just use the foot petal...old school.

Side Note: Steve: Fred has spot lock on his trolling motor. It is a true "Game Changer" on staying on fish. Especially under windy conditions. partyon

Good deal. Spot Luck is hard to beat especially on windy days.
