Who certifies you? Who writes your weld specs? Our weld expert retired. You should hire M.O. I've been trying to for awhile.

I did not know that they have bachelors degrees in welding as well as associates. It was part of an article lamenting the US will short a few hundred thousand welders in the not to distant future.

Already hard to find ones that are certified to do everything we want in the refinery. And our starting pay for a qualified welder is $38.00 hr. With a benefit package 2nd. To none. Kids willing to go to school and get certified in electronic Instrumentation, welding, process technology, pump and engine mechanics and some other desirable crafts can make a very good living right out of school.
