Has anyone had any luck from the banks of Lake Arlington? Is the grassy cove area on the north side of Richard Simpson Park still accessible? Haven't been there in years and thought it might be worth a shot.

If you are catfishing you have a low chance of catching one catfish.
when the crappie spawn you may catch some in that cove by Richard Simpson

If you are catfishing you have a low chance of catching one catfish.
when the crappie spawn you may catch some in that cove by Richard Simpson Thanks for the info. I'm usually fishing for bass from the banks. Are you talking about the cove to the north or south of the fishing piers? They put up a fence around the new center they built, so I don't know if the area north of the piers is off limits.

To the right of the piers Yeah, there's a wooden fence/gate there now. I haven't been there since the remodel, so I'm not sure if it's still open to the public. There used to be a lot of brush and logs for good fishing over there.
