My Lowrance Elite Ti should be delivered in the next day or so. I was planning on mounting it by the drivers seat and moving the smaller Elite 5 HDS to the TM. I was curious if anyone uses a tablet to mirror their sonar unit instead of buying another sonar unit. I know tablets pretty much suck when it comes to viewing them in different situations. I even thought about a Ram mount where I can swivel the Elite Ti around so I could see it when at the TM. Just trying to prevent mounting everything then changing it all up and doing it again.

I’m wanting to do this with my Livescope. I have 12in up front but would be sweet when fishing off the back to mount a tablet in the versatrack to move around the boat.

When I first ran one Lowrance HDS7, I duplicated the screen with a cheaper old iPad, and it was descent. I only used it for 2d sonar. Those were the old days. Now I have Livescope, so I no longer need that.

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

What did you use to connect them?

The Ipads have horrible screens for seeing in the open sun and are never waterproof with out some case and even then. While its a cheap way to go most don't survive mother nature and the low contract angles of them are very hard to use without straight on viewing. Go take a 1 mile walk outside in the sun and that will tell you everything you need to know if that works for you go for it.
