Why are bass fisherman in such a hurry?

I was sitting about 75 yards from the boat run when a fellow in a little white boat was coming down the lane. Another fellow came blowing up behind him and pulled out to pass. The second boat had his motor trimmed up too high and as soon as he hit the first boats wake he started porpoising to the point he lost control of his boat and forced the first boat out of the boat lane and into a big tree. They hit it hard enough to snap it off.
The JA in the passing boat never checked up but just went tearing off down the boat run. The little white boat turned and went back the way they had come.

Dam lucky someone didn’t get hurt or killed.

He sent me a picture of his boat. He kept the nose up and made it back to the ramp.

Wow, glad no one was hurt. hope his insurance is paid up - that looks like a total loss.

sadly the outboards are just getting bigger and faster - don't see this changing anytime soon.

Why are you calling him a " Bass Fisherman" ? I have seen Crappie fisherman hauling [censored] just as much.
Glad no one was hurt, not sure it is fair to be generalizing.

You could be right. I am guessing because of the bass tournament going on and they way the boat was set up.

I agree with Fishing Guy, it was almost certainly a bassboat with a 350 HP motor. It's stuff like this that has me off the lake on the weekend.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

If it had a 350 that would narrow the search down

All the more reason we should just eat those succulent large mouth bass.

I was on the lake this past Sat and had several high powered bass boats with bass fishermen almost within spit'n distance FLYING to catch that high speed bass.... However there was one that idled up to me and politely asked if he could fish the bank behind me....I told him to have at it and also told him how I had just caught a 2lb bass off the stump I was fishn..... Told him the depth and the color jig and I eased off on my trolling motor leaving it for him.....
I did see him catch a good'un near there stump I was fishn.....
Amazing the info you can get by being respectful......
I wish he won that tourney......

I figured it would be. I fish above 26 landing this time of year so I’ll go elsewhere.
