When Luminant remove the plant on Tradinghouse lake they dropped the water level. It has made the boat ramps almost unusable. The county has gone in and added to one ramp so you can launch a boat now. My question is why and did they drop the water level at other old power plant lakes? We have asked but have not receive any info on why they are keeping it so low.

Keep in mind a lot of these lakes are private property owned by the power companies. Most of them had to pump water in to keep them full.

So Tradinghouse is no longer a plant cooler?

Has the fishing went down hill?

The speculation is the the integrity and age of the dam/spillway is somewhat compromised

Luke 6:22-23

22 Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you, insult you,
and slander your name as evil
because of the Son of Man.

23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy. Take note—your reward is great in heaven, for this is the way their ancestors used to treat the prophets.

They build a new plant about ten miles away.

They tore down the plant two years back, It went off line maybe 3 year before that. The fishing was good until last year, they dropped the lake 5 feet in two days. The last time I went it was a pain in the rear to get my bass boat back on the trailer so I gave up on going out there.
