I keep trying to open TFF and it keeps popping up the scammer screens that your computer has a virus and to call the number so they can scam you. Tried it 3 times getting a different site each time. This time it finally went thru. I think one of them was a Java warning wanting me to click the download button to update it.

I haven't gotten it, but whatever you do don't click a download link. I'd recommend downloading malwarebytes and running it and see if it picks up any malware.

We haven't been hacked. It was probably a banner ad that your security software didn't like.

These aren't the security software giving alerts. They pop up some with loud beeping noise and fake alerts. They basically tell you that you have a virus and to not shut down your computer or it will no longer work. They won't let you close the page or do anything. You have to ctl-alt-del to shut down your browser. I have gotten them on other sites a few times in the past but more so on this site than any other. One doesn't ask you to click but to call a number where they will charge you a few hundred dollars to remove it and free the computer if you aren't smart enough to shut down the browser.

I assume it is one of the banner ads that pop up that are doing it.

I'm on a Mac using McAfee total protection. The popups prompt you to update Flash but the URL's are bogus and change each time they pop up. I don't know what happens if you select "update" but I'm sure it's not good. Don't do it!

I just got redirected to another website and my malware protection went nuts. I have 3 different virus/malware programs running and all 3 went off
