I like activities that don't require special shoes and lighter balls.

Look at the rise of High averages, 300 games over the last several years and it can all be directly related to ball composition and lane conditions

I too considered getting back into the game, but the cost of today's equipment made that impossible. I don't think my yellow dot or
RC5 can compete on todays conditions

I lost my 300 ring years ago while working in surgery, some day I hope to be able to get a replacement.

I miss bowling............for dollars, we used to travel to different houses and take on their best .... good times.

I quit bowling because it just became too easy. They kept setting them up, I kept knocking them down. I just needed more of a challenge and had to move on to other things.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

I have never figured out how to make the ball curve like real bowlers do. I have no choice but to play grunt smash ball bowling and it doesn't work that well either. I just get the heaviest ball and throw it down the center as hard as I can and pray it hits a few pins. Much respeck for those who know how to do it right.

Purple Hammer went to the dump last fall. A few 280+ games and 1 300 with that ball.

Seen it, donโ€™t care for it. My son does it though. Works for him.

Ephesians 4:4-6 KJV

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

I'm the president of our Monday League. Just started playing in leagues 3 years ago, and really enjoy it.

Yes the technology in the balls have changed the sport, and they have started changing the oil patters to help offset some of that, but the regulations are changing as well to level some of the playing fields.

For years the two handed bowlers have gotten faster and more revs on their ball, which creates more action in the back end of the lanes.
To help offset that the USBC have changed the rules about the finger holes in the ball, which will go into effect in August. Any hole drilled in the ball must be used. Doesn't sound like much but it means no more of the 4th weight hole for conventional bowlers and no more thumb holes and finger holes for two handers if they don't use the. By having the holes in the ball it creates an off side balance in the ball itself, which creates more break. Yes the cores are already naturally offset, which is fine from the manufacturer, but by reducing the holes and placement of the holes will straighten some of the really high rev guys.

Some of these oil patterns they are using for tournament play are so ridiculous, most league bowlers would be lucky to break the 125 mark on them.
