Fished from 0900-1130. Fog was thick and starting to thin out. Incoming tide with water at 55-57 degrees. Barometer 29.97 and falling. Wind was 3-5 knots from the NE. The water was clear. The tide is up enough to cover most of the reefs. Trout were bumping the lure and sometimes short striking. Managed to catch a few trout and box a couple for dinner.
All on purple/white paddle tails. I saw a good red caught on the same pattern. All fish were caught on the areas near the reefs (10-20 yards) on the down current side.

good deal. great report. i went to confederate and mecoms with no results. i was throwing a blue and yellow topwater. i cruised the shoreline around sportsmans and even went up into greens. no bait working or even any activity anywhere except greens and there were about 1/2 dozen boats there. i mostly was boat riding, but even that felt good after being cabin bound for a few days.

Did you go after the fog lifted? I wanted to go to Green’s, but don’t want to get run over in the ICW.

yeah, the fog was minimal. nothing scarier than running up on a 12' tall barge in the fog! talk about a laundry changer.

I was between North and South Deer and the fog really got thick around mid morning. For some strange reason, the compass on my boat was not reading, so I decided to stay and fish until visibility was some what clear. Anyway, I was catching dink and a few keeper trout on purple DSLs, and fishing was spotty.
