Ok I use dead bait minnows in my catfish chum. I came up with the idea of using the remains of cleaned fish in my chum but if I am interpreting the law correctly that would be illegal. I have no problem with guys who want to stick their hand in a snake hole hand fishing. Seems like using old guts and heads in chum should be ok. Of course laws always don’t make sense? So I just throw the unused guts and heads in the lake for the turtles to eat. Seems like it should be ok to use the guts and refuse for chum but maybe I don’t think right? I never would break a law knowingly.

Cubes always work great for us. If you fish again pretty soon, get up on the banks and in some creeks. When that water comes up, we have to move up

Butch I took HumanSeine as a name in honor of an older friend of mine who fishes like a madman. He is 80 now and still goes out and slangs a bait all day long. His favorite bait is a four inch ringworm and I dare someone to catch more fish than he does. His brother actually fished in the first bass master Classic and yes he is from Jasper down on big Sam which in my opinion is still the best bass lake ever. Yes fork is great but Big Sam is number one in my opinion. Now if ToWD would stick some bass in Fork and quit killing the grass it could be nearly as good. I have had 100 bass days in the early years at fork and it was wonderful. Yes guides still catch loads of fish at Fork but a bunch of them
Take their customers to Welsh in the winter. So I just don’t see as many 12s caught on a 3/4 ounce red trap as was the case not so long ago. I hope when TPWD stocks the new lakes they add some green Florida’s to Lake Fork. Of course this is a catfish section but I am not going to complain about the catfishing on Fork. I would say if you were looking to fill your fryer there is likely not a better place to do it with channel catfish!
