I witnessed a fish kill on the Trinity in my area and while the biggest I saw was mid 20s, most were less than 10lbs. There are multiple forks of the Trinity however and they all produce different sized fish! Might be worth checking out the locations he listed.

Well took the grandson on a canoe trip from the low water dam just east of Beach down through to 360 Monday just to see how it has changed in the last ten years. Well no I would not eat anything from this stretch of the Trinity as when it rains the water that filters through the Arlington dump ends up in the river. We stopped to fish for a little while and caught two catfish one 4 pounder and another a bit over 6 pounds but had two break off our twelve pound test. We were using cut perch for bait and I am pretty sure one of the fish was a big gar maybe both but it was a good time anyway. Other pollution issues are the cars that have slid into the river behind the wrecking yards on Handley Ederville road. The water was not clear enough in the shallows to see any fish but we did see several carp tails sticking up out of the water. As far as pollution goes to me the biggest local crime is the dump in Kennedale as it also drains into Village creek when it rains hard which runs into Lake Arlington, supposedly Arlington's water supply and this just past where water is pumped into Village creek from I believe Richland Chambers! Many people eat fish from Village creek and Lake Arlington.
