Cost comparison aside, it is really an easy choice. Why would any rationale person want to expand the power of the feds to control our lives?

Like I would earn $0.60 on it over the year. I like getting back. I use it for something I wouldn't normally buy myself. Or take a trip.

Will the S&P 500 was up 29% in 2019. So if you would have invested it instead of loaning it to the government for free you'd have an extra 1000 bucks!

Or used it during a time when money was tight and you needed new tires, or bought a new reel, or...the list goes on and on.

I'm on the fence regarding this single payer option. We are essentially already paying for others insurance.

So now we pay for our own and others. Might as well have some of our tax dollars go to our own insurance.

I also don't understand how we can expect insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions without the single payer option. Otherwise people will wait to get insurance until they need it. I have a liberal high school classmate that is an insurance agent today and he was all for the pre-existing condition clause. However, he balked when I asked him to right me a policy and pay for the repairs on my truck that I wrecked last month.


I don't feel so bad for the 20 somethings and older that made bad decisions in their life and are paying the price now.

I do have sympathy for the kids though. No kid should be denied better healthcare because his/her parents made poor decisions early on in life. I saw we take care of all of the kids until they are through school, but after that you are on your own.

It is insane the burden that comes just before living..as already stated insurance, property, food then comes gas, beer, fishing, beer, hunting, beer, vacations ,beer, dining out, beer etc….Its rough out here

I had a refund for the first time in years because of a tax credit for the kids.

Already spent it on new clothes for them.

Oh, I wish. My tax bill was just $1,250+/- lower than it wouldve been otherwise. Normally I try to have my withholdings set so that I have to send a small payment in on April 15.
