I pay an exobitant amount of taxes to the IRS every year. I am good with them using most of it for the military. I believe in walking softly and carrying a big stick. What I loathe is that they give some of it to idiotic feel good programs and academia grants that accomplish nothing of significance.

I have to wait until late March for a few K-1s, then endure the beating of entering the K-1 info into Turbotax. Then figure out how much to stuff into the HSA retro to 2018 to eliminate Fed taxes. Good, clean fun.

Good lord, tried the turbo tax and K1 one year, I gave up and took it to my CPA. Screw that.

Agreed. The feds have a spending problem, not a revenue problem.

Mine was too except for the 40 of so stock trades. Trades were because of Trump and his tariffs. I am a Trump fan but he caused a lot of turmoil in the markets last year. Just as the tariff carp settles down coronavirus hits.

You must not have watched last nights debate TG. Even the fellow democrats on the stage were saying the Bern's plan would cost trillions more than the current system.

Simple yes or no answers.

Under your plan would my taxes go up more than what I currently pay for my own private insurance?

Under your plan would we be able to keep our doctors?

Your question is simplistic. If you pay a little more in taxes but pay much less in premiums and medical costs, and your overall net income is higher, that's a plus. I'm not a fan of getting rid of private insurance, most of the developed countries have a mix of government and optional private insurance and that works well. But to simply ask "Will my taxes go up?" is such an elementary analysis.

Quantify "a little more in taxes". Because everyone loves for their taxes to increase.

I phrase it in an elementary fashion so you have little wiggle room to avoid answering.

I pay for my insurance now. I have a low deductible. Will my net output in taxes exceed what I currently pay?

If I keep my current plan will my taxes go up?

I suspect you are avoiding an answer because you know the truth won't sell what you are pushing.
