I just got done filing mine. Absolutely insane.
Federal income tax
State income tax (most places)
Medicare/Medicaid
Social Security
Capital gains tax
Dividends tax
Interest tax
Property Tax
Local taxes
Sales tax
Fuel tax
Tolls
License/Registration fees

Just to name a few... I've never added it up, but I wonder what the total tax burden winds up being. It can't be far off from some of the European countries.

Take that list then throw on top of it insurance, health, property, vehicle and it's a miracle people have money for food lol
