I think Steez nailed it.. The choice is between which mfg. of rod you like, those choices have it covered to a tee.

This all depends what you like to do, and what you’re strong at. For me...

7‘ falcon bucoo mh/mf “trap caster”, curado e7, 15 pound Fluoro, traps, spinnerbaits, swim hogs, square bills.
2 - 7’ falcon h/fast, “lizard dragged”, curado e7, 15-20 Fluoro One with mono I can fish all sorts of stuff on this trigs, traps, hogs, swimbaits, chatterbaits, it’s a perfect all around rod I think
784 dobyns, curado e7 15 Fluoro for fb jigs and Crigs
805 dobyns, curado e5 12 Fluoro for dd cranks
702 dobyns Stradic 2500 20 braid with leader, and finesse stuff

One main concern for me is I hate a rod reel combo to have a different feel so I use all Falcon Rods and Revo Reels.

7’ (New Lowrider) MH F for Texas Rigs/Medium Jigs
6’10 M F (Finesse Jig) for light jigs, small square bills, light pop R’s
7’3” H F (Amistad) Heavy Jigs, C-Rig, A-Rig, and occasional soft swim bait
7’ MH MF (All Around) This rod will be replaced with a slightly better/longer all around cranking rod. But mainly medium sized crank baits, occasional spinners or chatterbaits.
7’ ML F (Dobyns/Shiman) Spinning for drop shots, whacky rigs, and flukes

I use Dobyns and Lews but am slowly moving toward Shimano as well. I also have more than one reel for each rod which opens up the versatility of some of the rods. This is my list:

Dobyns DX746C- Lew's Super Duty 8.0:1 with 25# fluorocarbon (pitching flooded timber, bushes and docks) and one Lew's Super Duty 7.1:1 with 70# Daiwa Samurai Braid (punching grass)

Dobyns DX745C - Lew's BB1 Pro 7.1:1 with 18# to 20# fluorocarbon (football jigs, C-rigs, T-rigs, magnum shaky heads) and one Lew's Super Duty 7.1:1 with 70# Daiwa Samurai Braid (frogs and swim jigs)

Dobyns DC 734C - Lew's BB1 Pro 7.1:1 with 18# to 20# fluorocarbon (spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, football jigs, T-rigs, shaky heads)

Dobyns DC805 CB Glass - Lew's Tournament Pro 6.4:1 with 12# to 15# fluorocarbon (Extra deep and deep crankbaits [e.g. 8XD, 6XD, 5XD, DT20, DT16 DT 14])

Dobyns DC705 CBMF Glass - Lew's Tournament Pro 6.4:1 with 12# to 20# fluorocarbon (Squarebills and shallow to mid-depth crankbaits [e.g. XCite Baits XB1, Black Label CBS, DT6, DT10])

Kistler KLX 6'9" MH Spinning - Shimano Stradic CI4+ with 15# Daiwa J-Braid to 7# - 15# fluorocarbon leader (Finesse swimbaits, jerkbaits, shaky heads, neko rig, dropshot)

Honorable mention:
Dobyns DC765 CB Glass - Lew's Tournament Pro 6.4:1 with 12# to 15# fluorocarbon (Deep crankbaits [e.g. 5XD, DT16, DT14, DT10])

I usually have four or five crankbait rods on my deck because I enjoy fishing them.
