Winter time creek fishing continues to be FANTASTIC! Myself and Rick aka Catyakker are still catching good numbers of nice Bluegill, BIG Redbreast, Large Mouth Bass, and even a stray Rio. Over the last several days we caught a total of 8 Redbreast over 10 inches. The Redbreast were in the 8 to 10" range, Bluegill in the 8 to 9 inch range, LMB in the 1 to 3 lb range and the lone Rio which was caught in a pre-front bite was 8 inches. All fish were caught using worms with bottom and drop shot techniques being used. The best bite occurs during the warm spells which I have been taking advantage of. All fish were released. Good times during the winter time. It just don't get any better!

Sure do appreciate Chuck taking such great care of me on those steep Creek banks. He goes so far as helping me down and then up those near vertical slopes. But the fishing was well worth the effort. Dang, sure wish I was his age again so I wouldn't be such a bother. Never felt old until I hit 70 YOA, then it has been down hill every year since then. Don't know if I should feel blessed for being able to still get out; or cry remembering the days not too long ago, where I use to scramble those slopes like a monkey in the bush.
