I have not seen in the US so far a simple solution for hair rig which can speed up the baiting process. For that a little spike required or something like that and the bait going there instead of the line. In Europe it is available plenty of years already, I would recommend to try it out if you have a chance to get it. I use both simple solution and I hope this will be interesting to someone smile

There are different solutions for this spike as well. you can see an example on picture 7.

Also there are 3 sizes (7 / 10 / 15 mm) and to which one to use is depends how sensitive rig required. The majority of carp fishing people (at least who is using feeder rods and sensitive tackle) are using use 6 mm / 8 mm pellets. It can be time consuming to put the fresh bait on. This little spike remove all of the annoying game with the stopper.

I use these for corn, pellets and sometimes i add worms as well next to pellets, popups.

I've seen a few guys use boilie screws but those are definitely interesting! Might work better for softer baits. Thanks for sharing Akos! thumb

Careful with the screw version. I heard feedbacks that if the bait get loose a bit, it will fell off since nothing holding it.

This is definitely interesting! I rarely use real corn these days partly because of this exact reason which is only exacerbated when fishing more than 2 rods. The fake plastic is "set it and forget it" and I find myself with much more time fishing than playing around on the bank re-baiting my hairs. Would definitely like to give these a try though!

I understand how convenient to prepare such a way with fake corn. However I preferred to bait always at the lake before the fishing. I keep my fake corns in different liquids and it increased the catch rate for me. Usually I have 15 different flavors prepaid.

Interesting set-up. I can see some good uses for it. Thanks for sharing.

QQ:

Would it be interesting for you guys familiar (extended) posts regarding European approaches?
What would be the best way to do that to keep it for future?

I am happy to share more, I just would like to do it in a right way.

Post as you like! I really enjoy reading anything Carp-related, I only started fishing for them 2 years ago so I've still got a lot I could learn.

I agree! I got into the Euro techniques by watching Luke from Catfish and Carp YT channel but I’ve found myself constantly sticking to the same rig design (method lead with some kind of pack bait, basic hair rig and scented fake corn). It’s certainly worked well for me and I know if it’s not broke don’t fix it but still I’d love to experiment with other Euro rig designs/techniques. Specifically I’d like to understand better about the “why” and “when” to use other rigs or baits.
