Right, I saw one of the YouTube regulars who fishes down here in Galveston and other areas, bays and more. He took his Outback out to the oil platform rig and it almost beat him to death. He said something to the effect, "never again!!!"Brad That video you are referring to is from a guy who has no clue about offshore kayak fishing, handling a kayak in swells and what normal or average swells are offshore. Not saying he's a bad guy. He is a good fisherman but this video showed his true colors in terms of offshore fishing. The video did highlight a flaw in the 2019 Outback with the front hatch leaking and not having a hatch seal. Hobie realized this and quickly responded by offering all 2019 Outbacks a free hatch seal kit and started installing a hatch seal on all 2019 and later Outbacks starting in the fall of 2018 not long after production began. With the hatch seal in place on the re-designed Outbacks the leaking through the front hatch is minimal worse case scenario.

No doubt about it, Jerry713.
The angler in the video I referenced is more of a bay/marsh angler for the most part. I think he knew that it was going to be a rough day. That he was taking on water was a big issue, else he'd have likely stayed up above the wave action better. Nothing worse than being out deep and having a ton of water weight weighing you down.
