Does anyone know the approx. cost to get this done? Im thinking its time for new upper and lower mounts.
I've bee noticing a little more bounce going down the lake that she used to have

Bottom ones are easy, its the top ones that are going to cost you. Have to pull the powerhead to get to them.

How much vibration do you get if you go with the solid racing mounts?

I did that once to a hopped up 3.0L 225. At idle and planning off you really felt it especially in the steering wheel. Definitely helped with the handling thought.

Check the upper motor mount shroud and make sure its not broken...it seems to be a common issue.

Can do it yourself for under 500.its worth having done tho.. put solids in mine and it's like a totally different boat

It helped a lot on my 1986 Black Max. Boat would walk some at full speed and trim. You could not get it to walk afterwards.

It sounds like something I need to do! Can the bottom be done without taking the top apart? I watched a video that said the way the bolts are in the bottom they either need to be cut or done at the same time the top is apart. I have a hoist, also a lift ring that fits my old Black Max, not sure it will fit the Opti. Just not ready to take the top apart yet.....
