Has Not been the trip I was Hoping for.......Got here right at 3 o’clock Monday put out bait and set up my tent and camp area fish till about 9 pm - was getting cold- nothing. Got up Tuesday put out bait about 730 rods in about eight finished all day got five grass carp 20 22/23 lbs they were all pretty close same size. Ties nite and Weds was High Winds All Day - Cold N wind gusting to 28 mph- no catches. Weds Nite got down to 29* . High winds partially collapsed my tent twice overnite Tues nite.

It’s Nice today with slight S breeze - baited rest of cubes and corn about 9 am 20’yds down bank from last cpl days.
Maybe get something today.? Headed Home this Evening.

i need to keep up with this site i wouldve helped you a bit if possible dont be discouraged if you didnt do well with carps or buffs as Emma as much as anyone will say is not always on. but it can be with enough time and sometimes you have to wade through many grassers. Buffs are finicky biters sometime so sometimes when you see a drawback or a little bend action be ready to set the hook on them. Good luck the rest of your trip safe travels

Interesting thread. I enjoy catching carp, but most of everything you mentioned sounds foreign to me. I have heard of a hair rig before, but never seen one. Seeing your pic, I still don't know what it is? As I'm typing this, the only thing I can think of that the drill might be used for is threading deer corn on the hook? I'm clueless!

Bait drill is for anything you put on the hair rig - corn, maize, tigernut, nuts, popups, boilies.............drill a hole then slip baiting needle thru the bait to catch hair and pull thru bait.
