I had a 2013 BassCat Eyra and now have a 2013 Allison XB21 BasSport Pro Elite both with the Mercury 250. It isn't even fair to compare the two boats. The Allison is hands down the best bass boat made, period.

Do Allisons really have headlights?
If you watch the video you can see them at 4:00 minutes. Wonder how effective they are I'd consider them docking lights more than headlights. I would think they probably would be much good doing 80+ at night but I could be wrong.

I think for someone to say that an Allison is the best bass boat period is rediculous, if they were so great how come i have seen maybe a total of 5 in my lifetime ? And I am 60. I think Allison is a very unique boat, very well built, obviously not too many bass fishermen think they are the best bass boat built. Maybe they are the fastest bass boat built but not sure about that.

Title always gets attention.. the last one turned into an Allison debate. After fishing tournaments from Allison boats for 25 years. I don't waste my time arguing about there abilities or lack of anymore. The XB-21 BasSport is the real deal. I'm perfectly happy to be the only Allison in a field of 200 boats no matter the conditions. For those interested David has put together another nice video, just watch it and save the negative comments...We've heard them all. https://www.facebook.com/david.swendseid/videos/2563091160484411/Great video!

No crazy claims here, other than my personal experience with one. I have owned Skeeters, Lasers, Rangers, HydraSports, and Bullets and believe that the Allison is steps ahead of others in technology and design. Layout and fish ability are not bad, but it is different than many traditional bass boats and may not appeal to traditional fishermen. Doesn’t make it bad or wrong, just out of the box compared to tradition. I have always been a fan of innovation and feel many of the boats today have a retro 1980-90 vibe to them and are essentially minor tweaks on old design. Hopefully, Venus, Ballestic, etc...will push the BassCat/Ranger/Triton out of the last century into current times.

I haven't seen a handful of Lamborghini's in my lifetime either but it doesn't take away from it being the finest sports car ever made. Everything about that car is very unique and purpose built. When you look at an Allison, even the seats are patented. The XB21 has over 100 patents on it alone. The running surface is 5 times thicker than your cookie cutters, and 18 times stiffer. It's 21'2" in length, with a 93" beam, the boat without any accessories or engine weighs 1400+ lbs, and is capable of getting double the fuel mileage as any other cookie cutter on the market. Plus, in the 30+ years of production, Allison has had ZERO transom failures. Yes, I am very confident in my comment the Allison is the finest bass boat made!

Maybe they are the fastest bass boat built but not sure about that. Hard for anyone to claim something is the "best period".. It may have the best of what a certain individual wants. But nothing will ever be the best for everyone. You don't see many because they only build about 50-52 boats a year and that includes there race boats. Thats one finished boat a week. But actual build time is more like 30 days. Virtually every boat they build is paid for before it's started. As for being the fastest---Pretty sure they have every APBA bass boat speed record but one. I think that was because no one ever attempted a record run in that particular class.. Again it's not all about the speed.. My boat fits what I want in a tournament rig even though there are some things I would change. . I will agree with it being possibly being the "finest" of what I've been in.
