I don't fish Georgetown much, but since the Austin Marathon was going on I figured I had best stay away from Lady Bird Lake this weekend. I put in at Jim Hogg Park at about 6:30 am and fished until about 10:30 am. Air temp was 48 degrees and the lake was like glass when I put in. Water was 53.7. Water level is about 8' low. A lot of the structure I normally fish is suddenly on shore. Started by fishing a lipless crankbait off the points. Then the fog rolled in. Decided that discretion is the better part of valor. I could hear the bass boats, and they were throwing wakes, so I guess they weren't afraid of running into anything...like say a kayak with a light and a giant orange flag...but I was afraid of getting run into, so I changed tactics. Fished deep in the trees and beat the banks from about 40' offshore. Caught three LMB, the biggest would have measured about 16" if I closed her mouth and pinched her tail. Don't think they were on beds but they were getting ready. Caught them all on a shallow crank bait. The interesting thing was that the bite felt like a soft plastic bite...the line got heavy, but the lure didn't change direction until I set the hook. Once the fog lifted the wind picked up so I paddled back to the ramp (and forgot how steep the ramp at Jim Hogg is until I got the yak on the cart and started up the hill to the truck. Air temp when I finished up was about 57 degrees. Not a bad four hours of fishing, in fact three LMB is a good day for me at Georgetown this time of year.

Thanks for the report! Glad you made the right call in the fog. I hate being in the kayak in the fog. Did it once and felt like I needed to add a bunch of lights to help make me more visible. Several hundreds of dollars later with some LED's on the kayak I realized thick fog is still thick fog. LED's or not I'm still not visible by a boater until it's pretty much too late.
You get out of it what you put into it!
