I like a LOT of CBs for that particular situation. Deiter Stanford hand carved wooden baits is the TOP, then comes the Zoom Wek, the Deep little N and Middle n also work pretty well. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
Thad Rains Hey Thad lets keep that Middle N on the down low

😂😂😂 no! I need to know all the secrets. Although, I’ve known about the Middle N for a while, just use a wiggle wart more. Both are good though!

That’s a good bait. My old college partner and I won a College Regional and some of our bass came on a 50x.

A red Deep Little N is my go-to, followed closely by a red 1/2 oz Xcalibur/Booyah one-knocker lipless. The Ima Pinjack 200 is a sneaky good small profile mid-diver too.

Flat side CB or Rattle trap type bait If I'm going to CB fish in the winter time, I do the same thing. I either use a Rattle Trap (or one of the plethora of imitations thereof) or a flat sided square bill.

Only crankbait I’ll throw in cold water outside of a lipless is the original Luhr Jensen Speedtrap. The newer ones are ok but not the same. daing Chris I forgot about the old Speedtraps….Ive got a few still stashed away...thanks for the reminder!
