My old home lake, never seen this much water being released. Crazy....

Flooding

There is a lot of flooding going on up that way.

And it's all headed my way. Bogue Chitto is gonna flood, Bogalusa Creek is gonna flood. We're already 2.5' over flood stage here, with another 2' forecast. Water in the ditches on Hwy 10 and 21 have been about a foot from coming over the highway for about 2 weeks now. Duck weed blooms, dollar lillies and all kinds of vegetation growing in the ditches, people are even fishing in the ditches near the creeks.

2" of rain forecast on top of all that water headed this way. Sewage treatment plants are going to be compromised they're saying. I'm tarrrrrred of all this rain.

That don’t look good

saw the pearl up high a few times, once right after katrina, but not like this.

Look at a map between Bogalusa and Covington, pretty much every creek, bayou, branch or ditch that drains into the Pearl is backed up, and about to really back up. I'll try and get a pic on the way home, there's a couple of houses off 21 that are probably on islands now.

Not too far. Staying in Abita Springs area and working in Bogalusa.

Know Abita Springs real well, we would at the brew pub there before Abita was sold on the shelf. Love me some Turbo Dog
