I like a LOT of CBs for that particular situation. Deiter Stanford hand carved wooden baits is the TOP, then comes the Zoom Wek, the Deep little N and Middle n also work pretty well. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

I haven’t thrown the Middle N much. Love a Deep Little N. Haven’t fished the Stanford much either. I used WEC’s a lot, but since they are so hard to get I’ve turned PH Customs.

Lipless crankbaits are the only cranks i have faith in when the water gets that cold. They can be lethal, especially around grass. I tend to stick to the chrome or crawfish colored ones.

That’s always a good cold water option.

I have a handful of WECs left that are awesome. I also have some of Eric Gandy's baits I got before he quit selling them. They are the deal and I call them Gandy's Candy!
A little deeper and I still love the DB2s and DB3s

I to prefer a lipless in cold water. If not getting any action on that might try a Bandit flatsided coffinbill. Something with a little red usually seems to be the best color but not always.

I always caught them on the WEC pretty good. But I’ll be honest, the Lil Hunter is my clear favorite. I’ve wrecked them on that thing, especially in the Fall. I’ve heard of Gandy’s, but haven’t tried one yet. Sounds like I won’t be able to soon, either! Lol

That Bandit flatside is killer. I actually think that new Berkley is pretty much the same, but cast better. I haven’t fished one yet though.

Only crankbait I’ll throw in cold water outside of a lipless is the original Luhr Jensen Speedtrap. The newer ones are ok but not the same.

Subscribed I never have any luck with the cold water CB. Jerk bait is the closest I get. I may check out some flat sided baits

That Speed Trap was always a good option. I only have a couple of the old ones left. I don’t throw them as much as I used to.

Thanks buddy! Cold water cranking takes a lot of time and fishless days. But once you get the hang of it, it will become addicting.
