It's normally quite on all Lakes in February, but it's an absolute Ghost Town on Richland Chambers as the only boat I saw on Friday was Adam's and we had a real crowd on Saturday with two or three other Fisherman on the water. fish
It was not fishable early in the week as we had Cold North Winds, a little rain and even some snow one day, but Friday and Saturday were Springlike with a nice breeze and temps warming to the 60's. Wish we had some Cloud Cover but the post Front Conditions left us with Bluebird Skies. We also had the Full Moon and all this combined slowed the early AM bite just a little as the late AM was when we caught most of our fish. We had Regulars from the DFW, Weatherford and Lake Area join us over the two days and all went home with plenty of Blue & Channel Cat filets. All fish were caught in the Crab Creek area in 20-25 FOW on Danny King's Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble. Fish were hugging the bottom in the heavy timber. Adam and I have plenty of February openings with a boat open many Weekdays and even a couple of upcoming Saturdays. Check us out at www.gonefishin.biz and give us a call and We'll Go Catchin'! Here's a couple of Pics from this past week:

RC almost filled to Normal Pool level this past week as rainfall amount in excess of 6" in the watershed took the 45,000 acre Pond from almost 4' low to less than 6" low as of this AM. The water clarity on the main Lake is clear and just a bit stained up the Richland Creek where we did our Catfishing yesterday. Water temperature was 51 degrees. The Catfish bite was pretty good considering all the elements we dealt with (Rising Water, Lower water temp, & Post Front Conditions). We didn't have a really aggressive bite and our Customers had to really be on alert to know when the bite occurred and then attempt a hook set. While we missed a lot of fish, we still ended with an ice chest full and LOTS of "Ones that got away Stories" ! banana As usual our fishing area was timber near Crab Creek and we fished in 25'-30' FOW with DK's Punch Bait. Check us out at www.gonefishin.biz and give us a call if you want to get in on this Wintertime Bite! Here's a couple of Pics from yesterday:
